Project idea
The idea was to replicate features of Indian Architectural features through modular steel construction.
Project description
The project consists of a semi open lobby space connecting the auditorium, convention hall and exhibition spaces.
Technical information
Materials used in the construction process are modular steel bars, trichord truss for the roof, aluminium panels for the pleated portion of the roof which is painted white to help reflect light and heat since Chennais weather is warm and humid. The dome structures are constructed using diagrid steel construction.
